I am a Professor of Agronomy and Agroecology in the Department of Soil and Crop Sciences at Texas A&M University. I am also the Director of the Center for Greenhouse Gas Management at Texas A&M. My research program at Texas A&M AgriLife Research is focused on developing climate-smart agricultural management strategies for major row cropping systems in Texas. My lab conducts both basic and applied science research with a strong emphasis on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, increasing carbon capture, and promoting sustainable agricultural management practices. I have established a new interdisciplinary research program on nitrogen-smart crop production systems and organic farming, which have become pivotal research areas in AgriLife Research.
